PR and Digital Communications Director

As PR and Digital Communications Director, Amy is a seasoned social media, media relations and communications strategist, with an emphasis on the lifestyle, education and technology sectors. A professional ‘story-teller’ since 2006, Amy began her career in front of the camera as a reporter and anchor, with her pieces running on CNN, The Today Show and Good Morning America.

Since transitioning to public relations in 2010, Amy has led media outreach for a number of international clients, including T-Mobile, Honeywell & The Amgen Foundation while working at Waggener Edstrom’s San Francisco office.

Concurrently, Amy and her ultra-marathon-record-holding husband, Ian Sharman, own Sharman Ultra Endurance Coaching. As director of media & digital strategy, Amy continues to help the growing business gain national media exposure, including mentions in Men’s & Women’s Health Magazines, Outside, and ESPN Online, to name a few, and helped the company’s founder secure a monthly column in Ultra Running Magazine. (Ian holds the North American record for 100 miles on trails!)

In her spare time, Amy enjoys traveling, snapping pictures of her two puppy-sons, Poco Loco and Comrades, hiking local trails, or enjoying one of Bend’s many eateries with her husband, Ian.
